Many people think anti-aging skincare is only for those in their 40s or 50s. But in fact, our skin starts to change much earlier.

In our 20s, the skin’s natural processes—like collagen production, cell turnover, and hydration—begin to slow down. This can lead to dryness, dullness, and the early formation of fine lines.

That’s why starting early can help. Using the right skincare products in your 20s isn’t about fixing wrinkles—it’s about preventing them. Ingredients that protect and support the skin can help keep it smooth, bright, and healthy for longer.

What Kind Of Product Should You Use?

  1. Exfoliation: When skin is healthy, it renews itself about every 28 days by shedding dead cells and replacing them with new ones. Exfoliation helps speed up this process by removing built-up dead skin cells, making skin look smoother and brighter.

Use an exfoliant 2–3 times a week as part of your home routine.

  2. Hyaluronic Acid: As hyaluronic acid levels decrease, skin loses plumpness and fine lines appear, especially on the cheeks and temples. Using multi-molecular hyaluronic acid helps hydrate different layers of the skin for a fuller look. When combined with a Sustained Hydration Complex, it can keep skin moisturized for up to 24–48 hours.

  3. Collagen: Collagen makes up about 80% of the skin’s protein, and its breakdown starts in our early 20s at about 1% per year. Different types of collagen help keep skin firm, elastic, and strong. To maintain healthy, youthful-looking skin, collagen production needs continuous support. Using collagen in different molecular weights, combined with supportive ingredients, can help maintain skin structure and firmness, especially in your late 20s and beyond.

  4. Antioxidants: From birth, our skin is exposed to environmental stressors that speed up the breakdown of collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid. These key components keep skin hydrated, firm, and resilient. In our 20s, as antioxidant production slows down, skin may start to look dull and fine lines can begin to appear.

  5. SPF: Most importantly, daily sun protection is essential at any age to prevent early fine lines, wrinkles, loss of firmness, and sun damage. Use SPF 30 or higher every day—even on cloudy days—to protect your skin from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
